Why Support Us?
Your support of WV Dance Company makes these “lightbulb” moments possible for tens of thousands of students each year, many of whom live in economically depressed areas where access to the arts is severely limited. Through performances and interactive workshops, the WV Dance Company provides STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) programming that encourages critical thinking and creativity, and provides exposure to world cultures that is so important as we educate tomorrow’s leaders. Your donation of any amount will make a significant impact in classrooms and on stages throughout the state and region.
The WVDC is a registered 501(c)3 and your donation is tax deductible.

“When you began your presentation, I quickly realized that my attitude that dance/movement had no place in the Science curriculum was very inaccurate. I was completely thrilled, amazed, “bowled over”! As I watched my students use their bodies to simulate symmetry (which we had studied just a few weeks prior to your coming), I began to understand how movement has a very real place in my Science curriculum. The expressions on their faces and the eye contact they made with me from the stage sent the message that they finally had a clear understanding of the concept. I truly believe this understanding will stay with them for many years to come because they were physically involved in demonstrating the 3 types of symmetry.”
